Privacy Advocates Hope To Force VeriChip Corporation Into Bankruptcy
'VeriChip Corporation, the company known as the creator of the first implantable microchip identification device which people have implanted in their hands or arms in order to identify them wherever they go, has been targeted by a national privacy watchdog organization with hopes of putting them out of business.
"VeriChip's stock is down to less than fifty cents a share. A year ago it was over nine dollars, and hopefully in a few months it will be worth less than toilet paper," explains Mark Dice, spokesperson for The Resistance, a privacy watchdog group based in San Diego.
