London's Police Chief Sir Ian Blair 'Will Be Forced To Resign' If Unlawful Killing Verdict Recorded In De Menezes Inquest

'Sir Ian Blair will be forced to step down as Scotland Yard chief if the forthcoming Stockwell inquest rules that Jean Charles de Menezes was killed unlawfully, it emerged last night.Whitehall sources revealed that the Scotland Yard commissioner will be told to resign if the inquest, due to start later this month, concludes that the death of the innocent Brazilian should have been avoided.'
