Two Sky Television football presenters in the UK have been removed after 20 years, one was sacked and the other resigned before he was sacked, in a blatant conspiracy to get rid of them for some reason. Probably not coincidentally, one was in the process of suing a Murdoch-owned newspaper for illegally tapping his phone. 

They made some laddish sexist remarks off-air, not the nicest, nor the worst things you will ever hear in a football or journalistic environment, but the recording machines were still running. This footage was then made available to the media to destroy them. 

Sky then got on their high moral horse about treating women with respect — this is a company controlled by the same Rupert Murdoch that owns the Sun newspaper and the phone-tapping News of the World that treat women like sex objects in every edition. 

When I was working for a freelance agency many years ago I was called by the News of the World 'news desk' and asked if there were any rape court cases going on in my region because they were short of such reports for that week's paper. 

And, of course, the women like those below selected to present the sports news on Sky are absolutely picked only on the basis of their knowledge of sport and their journalistic skills and their model-girl looks have nothing to do with it. 

The short skirts worn by some of them when presenting programmes is merely to show Sky's respect for women and it is nothing at all to do with exploiting their looks and bodies to attract an audience from the very laddish-type mentality that Sky so sanctimoniously and hypocritically condemns this week.

'So you want to be a presenter with Sky Sports News?' 

'Yes, please.' 

'Er, you got the job, we'll discuss your knowledge of sport another time.'

No, I am not saying that none of these women know anything about sport and some of them are very good at their job. I am merely pointing out that the Murdoch empire's exploitation of women is the most shocking hypocrisy when compared with its holier-than-thou fake morality this week.
